Mark’s recent work has concentrated on ease of adoption of digital imaging techniques by cultural heritage professionals. His focus includes the trustworthiness of “born digital” images, the semantic richness of metadata records, and how to ease the burdens of long-term digital archiving. Mark has a background in digital imaging, including 3D scanning, and he also has extensive fine-arts experience in sculpture and bronze casting. More…

Carla is a seasoned business and technical professional with over 20 years of software experience in Silicon Valley and 6 years of imaging and cultural heritage experience. She has directed a range of software projects including object-oriented development tools, desktop publishing, and Java technology. Carla has always loved ancient places and cultural objects, seeking them out in museums, books, and travels. More…

Allen is an attorney whose practice has focused upon civil rights and liberties, abuse of governmental authority, and criminal defense law. He is currently the Litigation Director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Drug Law Reform Project. Jason Horowitz Jason Horowitz, Board Member
Jason has dedicated his career to expanding and deepening global connections, applying learning, communication, and influencing skills across geographical, cultural and organizational lines. He was formerly Director of Business Operations in the Client Software Group at Sun Microsystems, and prior to that, he was a Foreign Service Operator for the U.S. Department of State. More…

Tim is a Software Engineer at Google, working on improving the efficiency of Google's computing infrastructure. Prior to Google, Tim was a key contributor to the Java technology project at Sun Microsystems, including serving as Distinguished Engineer/Architect of the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) and co-author of the Java Virtual Machine Specification. Tim is also a keen collector and researcher of daguerreotypes. More…

Scott is a leading California real estate developer and attorney. He practiced real estate law for 18 years, and until 2005 he served as President and CEO of Burnham Pacific Properties, a New York Stock Exchange company and owner of over 104 shopping centers in the Western U.S. Scott has published two books and several articles on a variety of real-estate subjects.
